We love the raw emotion of photojournalism and the seductive, mysterious look of fashion photography. In short, our style is something we like to call “fashion photojournalism and contemporary story-teller”. We believe in romantic lighting, incredible backgrounds and choosing locations very carefully. As far as our photojournalistic side – we never interrupt a moment. We never pose situations that are already so magical on their own. We are an observer most of the time with very limited intrusion only when it is desired to achieve a particular artistic vision. Ninety percent of our images are completely natural and un-posed.
We do traditional portraiture at most of our weddings. Even the most modern brides still want the heirlooms that family portraiture creates. We do not, however, conduct portrait sessions in a traditional way. Instead, they are very loose, fun, and show off your personality. We will spend only 20 to 45 minutes on any posed photographs out of a typical 9 hour day.
Complete wedding day coverage means just that! We are with you from the time you begin hair and make up until the end of your night for your grand exit. We feel that capturing each and every detail, smile, hug, laughter, tears of joy, excitement, crazy dance move, etc. is the true reason why we do what we do. Your day should feel effortless, free flowing, and stress free. It’s our job to watch your day unfold uninterrupted and tell your story from beginning until end without missing a moment! Capturing those timeless and genuine moments is truly what makes our heart happy!
There are 3 critical advantages to having multiple photographers. The first is that it saves time. The wedding party can be taking heirloom photos while the other photographer can focus on candid and detail shots. The second is that it offers another set of eyes. As much as we would like to think we are superwomen and can be in one place at one time to capture all expressions and moments, we can’t. The final advantage is that while one photographer is taking a photo, the second photographer will shoot from a different angle ensuring an abundance of phenomenal photos!
Typically we book out 12-16 months. The sooner the better to ensure we have your date!
Before our clients book us for their BIG day we love to set aside some time first to meet over coffee (or champagne) to chat more about what your vision is for the day and to make sure we are the best fit for you! Once that takes place we ask for a $500 deposit to hold your date!
Absolutely! A million times YES! An engagement session is the best way for us to get to know you and for you to be comfortable with us! By being able to be yourself around us will ensure that your wedding day photos will be absolutely amazing! The photos will look and feel much more natural if you trust in what we do and can feel 100% like you! We always tell our couples “We can photoshop many things but happiness and having fun isn’t one of them.” So relax and enjoy!
Glad you asked! Our process is a little unique! We don’t believe in anything “cookie cutter” because each of our clients are unique and awesome in their own way! We like to know what you enjoy doing together, where was your first date, where did he propose and other questions such as that. The reason being is so we can scout out specific locations for your shoot that mean something to you so you feel even more comfortable and helps tell the story of the two of you even more. There is no limit on time or locations. Engagement sessions are purely a day to get to hang out, get to know each other even better, and make sure we get the most genuine and timeless photos of the two of you!
Typically for every hour we shoot you can expect 80-100 photos. 4-6 weeks after the wedding you can expect to get all of your high resolution images on a custom USB drive to share with family and friends as well as a password protected gallery of all images that you can order from as well!
